Janine Yorio, Managing Director

Janine began her career as an investment banker at Salomon Brothers, and has since worked in private equity, first at HVB Capital, the private equity arm of German bank, HypoVereinsbank, and then for private equity firm NorthStar Capital. During that time, Janine originated, analyzed, structured, and asset managed over $1.5 billion in private equity-style transactions, ranging from $10 million to over $700 million in size. She has originated over $100 million in structured debt investments, raised over $750 million in debt financing, served as the analyst for three successful initial public offerings, and managed a portfolio of $110 million in joint venture investments.
Through NewSeed Advisors, Janine is committed to applying her insider’s knowledge of Wall Street to an industry with integrity, one that revolves around people and which contributes to the greater good of mankind and mother earth. Janine is a graduate of Yale University.
Rebecca Allen, Research Analyst

Prior to joining NewSeed Advisors, Rebecca worked for an organic winery in Sonoma, California and for The Sylvia Center, an organization focused on teaching children about the importance of healthful eating through seasonal cooking. After college, Rebecca worked for Morgan Stanley. Rebecca holds a B.A. from Williams College.
Alaine Janosy, Sustainable Agriculture Strategy Intern

With a background in management consulting and a lifelong interest in sustainable agriculture cultivated by exposure to health food stores and CSA produce during childhood, Alaine is invested in improving our food system. Prior to joining NewSeed Advisors, Alaine worked at Slow Food USA, a non-profit educational organization dedicated to supporting and celebrating the food traditions of North America. Alaine also spent four years working as a management consultant for Accenture. Alaine obtained her B.A., cum laude, from The George Washington University and she also holds a degree in Pastry and Baking Arts from The Institute of Culinary Education. Alaine is currently working toward her M.A. in Food Studies at New York University.
