Entrepreneurs

We understand that raising start-up capital for an agriculture business is a daunting process. For this reason, our investment process is designed to be as straightforward and time efficient as possible.

We look for:

  • high-quality, experienced management teams
  • compelling value propositions
  • large potential markets
  • profit-driven financial models

Unfortunately, we cannot invest in companies based outside the US, in individual farms or in businesses that are not-for-profit.

To Submit Your Business Plan:

Prepare a concise description of the business, including financial requirements, management team bios, and a summary of your competitive advantage and a description of the intellectual property you control or are creating.

We prefer to receive plans and inquiries electronically.  Send submissions to Janine Yorio at janine@newseedadvisors.com.

Please note that we receive hundreds of business plans each month.  Typically, we reply within a few weeks.  However, due to the volume of submissions that we receive, we may not always respond as quickly as you would like.

While we encourage you to submit additional information which might help us to formulate an opinion, please do not contact us asking for a response until we have had at least two weeks to review your submission.

Please note our policy on Confidentiality/Non-Disclosure Agreements:

Our policy is not to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements until later in the due diligence process.  This is because we receive dozens of proposals which are often similar to those suggested by others, or to ideas which we have already developed internally.  If you are truly concerned about sharing proprietary information with us, you can minimize your risk by not disclosing sensitive information to us in the first place

When our discussions advance to the point that we require more detailed information about your business, we will sign all requisite documents.
